Beloved, gaze in your heart,
The holy, holy tree grows here;
From joy it's holy branches start,
And all trembling flowers they bear.
The changing colours of it's fruit
Have dowered stars with metry light;
The surety of its hidden roots
Has planted quiet in this night;
The shaking of it's great, leafy head
Has given the waves melody,
And made lips and music wed,
Murmuring a wizard's song for thee.
There and here Joves a circle go,
The flaming circle of our days,
Gyring, spiring to and fro
In those great ignorant leafy ways;
Remembering all that shaken hair
And how the winged sandals dart,
Thine eyes grow full of tender care:
Beloved, gaze in thine own heart.
Gaze no more in the bitter glass
The demons, with their subtle guile.
Lift up before us when they pass,
Or only gaze a little while;
For there a fatal image grows
That the stormy night receives,
Roots half hidden under snows,
Broken boughs and blackened leaves.
For ill things turn to barrenness
In the dim glass the demons hold,
The glass of outer weariness,
Made when God slept in times of old.
There, through the broken branches, go
The ravens of unresting thought;
Flying, crying, to and fro,
Cruel claw and hungry throat,
Or else they stand and sniff the wind,
And shake their ragged wings; alas!
Thy tender eyes grow all unkind:
Gaze no more in the bitter glass.

Maggoty faggoty faggoty maggoty chinese.

Well, at least there was a pleasant surprise this morning. Mom usually goes for bible study in the morning, so i was still in bed at about 10AM when the doorbell rang, and i just assumed it was her, so snuggled back in and was about to fall back to sleep when i heard "Ah chek! Ah chek!" And next thing i knew the door banged open and i was swarmed by two naughty little boys. Although it was fun y'know, getting woken up by the two cute tykes :D Went for lunch with em too and had a good time, then had to go back to mugging :(

Maths and physics were good, topped the class for social studies, but had two major heartbreaks today, english and history. By the class' standards i did good, but i definitely didn't do as well as i expected of myself. Only got 20/30 for english, i never scored below 23 for any english essay this whole year, yet when a new teacher marked my test i died :\ Well it's so subjective you can't really blame the teacher who marked it, but definitely feel that this is a flaw in the education system that has to be dealt with sooner or later, because it's seriously unfair for a lot of students. I can't believe cz got 16 for his, i mean, his writing is great and he deserves at least a 24 or 25. And some of those who got really high marks, i really felt that they were undeserving, but sigh, what's over is over and you can't argue with the teachers. Second heartbreak was history. WTH I GOT 79.2 OVERALL!!! DO YOU KNOW HOW PISSED OFF I WAS?!?!?!?!?!?! JUST HALF A MARK MORE FOR THE CT, HALF A MARK AND I WOULD'VE GOTTEN MY 80 AND 4.0. WTHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! PISSEDDDD OFFFFF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Ok but not so bad anymore, i took it all out already so i'm feeling ok now. *breathe in, breathe out* Ok i'm good now.

But seriously, it was incredibly irritating...and when i get my report card back...man... :'( Just hope that bio and chem tomorrow will be good. Ok fine, i'll probably die like mad for chem, but as long as i get 45% for bio CT i'll get my 4.0 :P and i don't think that even I could screw that up THAT badly right? heheheh. And if that goes to plan then my GPA for this year should be quite pleasing, could've gotten better but kena pulled down by the double weightage on maths :( Never mind, i'm proud of myself for working so hard for it, i will be more consistent next year and get 100% for it! YEAH!

I wanted to write about what we did today, but first i realised that i'm not supposed to because of admin reasons and secondly i am now very frustrated and more than a little angry.

I just thank the Lord that he has come so deep into my soul and my being and changed my character so much. I truly can deal with anger much better now, and i no longer make many of the brash decisions that i used to, once i have the time to calm down. Which is why if i'm ever curt or angry at any of you guys ever, just give me a few days to think things through ok? Don't try to talk it out with me first, because usually i'm a brick wall that won't budge and the only one that can knock it down is myself when i have the time and the clearness of mind to think things through. I truly want to give praise to the Lord for giving me the values and morals that have become so dear to me, for him to forgive my trespasses, as i forgive those that trespass against me. To forgive those that trespass against me. Never easy. I've long harboured hate for some people, obviously you'll never like anyone in life. But as i grow in Christ, i've managed to deal with that hate much better, turning it into merely tolerance. I will never say that i can like everybody, because that is just a total lie, but i can say that even those that i intensely dislike, i do not hate, because i recognize that every being is created by our Lord and Saviour. Who am I, a mere mortal, to hate something that his blessed hands have created. I will not hate anything except sin itself. For it is clearly written in God's word; and God's word i shall abide by.

The Lord's Prayer:
"Our Father, who art in Heaven,
Hallowed be thy name.
Thy Kingdom come,
thy will be done,
on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread.
Forgive us our trespasses,
as we forgive those that trespass against us.
And lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil. Amen."

To God be the glory, Amen.

I'm sorry i'm sorry i know i've been long overdue but common test was a gg lah can't help it! Last common test in RI i really wanted to do well so was mugging like a ming loong for the better part of the month. Ok i'll a quick run down of all the subjects and then go into some other interesting things.

Social Studies:
I think i answered the question pretty well, good foundation and framework but didn't have enough time to finish up the last question that well, i couldn't go into details for active citizenry but think should still do decently well.

English:
The question was really wonderful for me, "Discuss the advancement of science and technology and some of the controversies surrounding them." Because just a few days before the paper i was reading through a lot of GPs and a lot of scientific case studies courtesy of Dr.Lee, Mr. Low and my dad. Read about active and passive euthanasia, cloning, patient's rights vs. doctor's rights, and put all these in, giving some examples like with the new scientific breakthroughs in surgery, many require blood transfusions, but certain religions do not allow believers to have them, so if a doctor knows that a patient is going to die if he does not have a blood transfusion, yet the patient strongly stated before the operation that he would rather die than have it, what is the doctor to do. etc. And for technology i focused on the development of military technology and that technology was actually forcing more and more less developed countries into poverty or terrorism.

Chem:
Urgh, the gg paper. I think out of all the papers in the entire exam this is the one i'll do the worst in. I recognize that my chem foundation and standard is really really bad, and to do a doctor in the future, chem is even more important than bio, so i'm going to work much harder on this.

Maths:
I was actually quite happy with myself this paper, i mean, after the test it was the first time in a whole year that i actually came out after comparing answers thinking that i could still get 80%, i'm really proud of myself for working so hard and proving that i can do it, and even if my results aren't that good for maths, i'll still be proud of myself, because i did every single practice paper that was given, all the supplementary exercises, the revision worksheets, redid the tests and even all the practice questions behind the assignments. Got a few mental blocks here and there during the test and i kena fooled by the sneaky last question "How much did it travel in the 2nd second" i thought it said "in 2 seconds." Darn, 5 marks gone for that. But all in all i hope i can do well for this, because i promised myself i would do it, and so far i haven't broken any promises to myself in life yet.

Biology:
Frankly i was very disappointed for Biology. The questions were really quite common sense rather than studying and i felt that a lot of us who studied really hard for this subject felt a bit shortchanged. Ok saying this i better not come back with like 60% for the paper or i'm seriously a jackpot lah :P

Physics:
Err...rather ok...think can score 80% and above. But most importantly. MY LAST PHYSICS PAPER OF MY LIFE WAHAHAHAHAHHAH!!!!!!

History:
I think this was the best paper i ever wrote in my life, i hope the GEP teachers aren't very strict with handwriting though cos' i was spamming so much that it really got quite illegible, and when i compared my first sheet to my last at the end i was really amazed to see how much handwriting can deteriorate in such a short span of time lol!

Ok now interesting things that happened let's see hmmm hmmm hmmm... Ok first and foremost, I GOT TO CARRY MRS. NARDAN'S NEW BABY BOY JULIAN LUKE NARDAN!!!!!! He was seriously so amazingly cute, the first baby i've seen up close for almost a year since joel got all grown up. When we first crowded around to see her carrying the baby when she came to school i was a bit hesitant to ask because i know that it's really hard for a mom to trust her little baby to a seemingly rough and clumsy sec 4 boy, and if i were her i might not have handed him over, but thankfully she did YES!!!!:D And i got to carry the little tyke for about 5 minutes before we saw our chinese teacher walking towards class and i had to hand him back. I'd gladly have carried him for the rest of the day, but unfortunately, it wasn't to be :( But if it's God's will i'll see the little guy again, and maybe can carry him more heheheheh!

Second interesting fact. The guys (Paul, Kenneth Loo(Dog), Zhang Rui(China), Alvin Nat(Indon), and Alex(Mugger), came over to my place yesterday for post CT celebrations. Actually not quite...Zhangrui came at 2, Alex at 5, and the rest at 8 -.-" cos' the faggots were either playing or organizing inter class soccer. Anyway when we finally got here we had quite a hearty dinner, compliments to mom as usual, her cooking never fails to amaze me and satisfy my tastebuds thoroughly. Then we played a few games of tai ti and then mugger and paul had to go back to boarding, and zhang khan left soon after cos' he's a momma's boy :p And when we were about to go to sleep, Alvin Nat kept complaining about a baluku on his head caused by Bowen so i got him some Aloe Vera to rub on his head and he stood in the toilet rubbing it on for about ten minutes, it would've been quite funny if we weren't so tired heheh. Oh, and Alex and Alvin were very interested in a rather interesting book that i got for my birthday. Yes yes for those of you who know what it is then you can go laugh at them :p

THEN when we woke up this morning, Alvin told us that he had only been under the thin pink cotton blanket that i provided him as an extra layer all night...when he was lying on top of my comforter(a sort of thick quilt blanket) all night...seriously...that moron. And he was obviously freezing his ass off. Come on lah, one little pinko blankie obviously anyone would freeze to death right?! Lao eh.

Well, today i had matriculation, saw Hanlong dancing and singing and having a great time, this guy never fails to amaze me able to be so lighthearted and shameless and enjoy everything to it's max yet think so deeply, complex and solemnly when it comes to serious business. The captain, one year my senior, who i looked up to all throughout my RI life, will definitely always hold my respect, and i really do look forward to working with him again in RJ. But soon after we finished our talk and had a bit of time to tour, the whole place kena spammed by RGS so we beat a hasty retreat back to the comforts of all boys only RI. I seriously don't know how i'm going to survive in RJC next year...i mean, i enjoy being in the company of girls, especially pretty ones, and i know that they adore me, ;) but there's a huge diff between seeing them occasionally and seeing them everyday man... Guys are straightforward, we got something to say, we say it, we got something to do, we do it, but girls man...girls are just strange. I don't think i'll ever understand them. I just hope i don't piss off too many next year...cos' it ain't gonna be as simple as RI now where we get into a fistfight or a roaring session but then the next day everything's fine again once it's been vented. Girls will be like...grudge-holding man...that's scary. More scary than a fist heading at 50km/h towards your face. More scary than Mrs. Chan when she's scolding people(seriously, how does such a tiny woman make you feel like you're even smaller than her?! Sheesh...). And even more scary than Mr. Lim...err...ok better not say later i kena splash water again :
Last thing to note, yay i got my national colours award today, one piece of good news :) Too bad cannot represent for SEA games, cos' i don't want to do the 2 years of NS lol. Ah well, i'll be your senior in Uni so there!

Alright, long enough to keep all you adoring fans from knocking at my door for about 24 hours right? Cos' i won't be home tomorrow, i'll be doing my first 10k in what, 2 months, and hitting town with the china after, so goodnight dudes!
